As you may be aware, Bristol City Council have issued May Gurney a contract worth £96 million (over seven years) to be our new waste collection company.

Whilst there has been some concern over May Gurneys performance in neighboring North Somerset, the biggest change for my household is that they will collect plastic.

Yes, those plastic bottles and cartons that amount in your house quicker than a Eastenders back catalouge will finally be collected from our homes. Adios milk cartons, adios butter containers a newer, a better future awaits.
